Information on Brighton and Hove heritage can be found here.
St. Nicholas is the oldest building in Brighton. That alone is a compelling reason to help restore it and keep it at its best.
It has watched over 1000 or more years of Brighton and British history – from the Norman invasion, just down the coast at Hastings, to the French raiding parties of the 16th century to the extravagant parties of Regency Brighton to the funeral last year of the world’s oldest man.
As a Friend you will have a more tangible share of the building, its memories and its upkeep. And you can enjoy the many events we put on which are designed to inspire, educate and entertain.
